Queen Elizabeth and Murchison Falls Safari in Uganda : 5days (4 nights) Day 1: Drive to western Uganda, along the western arm of the Great Rift Valley and the foot hills of the mountains of the moon (Mountain Rwenzori) to the Ishasha boarder post in the south.Stop at the Equator for photographs and lunch enroute in Mbarara,proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park . In the afternoon go for a Launch cruise on the Kazinga Channel to view a swamp of hippos, buffaloes, both Migrant and residents birds Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge/ Hostel. Day 2: Rise early morning game drive after a cup of coffee to catch up with the early risers and predators returning to the hide outs.A game drive will reward you with animals such as leopards, Lions, spotted hyenas, elephants, stripped jackals, bushbucks, the comical warthogs and birds. Return from the drive for breakfast and rest to prepare for a drive through the crater areas for scenery and more game after lunch. You will then proceed to Fort portal. Dinner and overnight Fort Motel / Ndali Lodge/ Toro Resort.
Day 3: Drive to Murchison falls National Park,lunch enroute. On arrival to the park you may choose between staying at Red Chilli Camp or cross by ferry to Paraa Safari Lodge on the northern bank of River Nile for dinner and overnight. Day 4: Take a cup of coffee and then embark on the game drive on any of Buligi, Albert or Queens Tracks north of the river Nile. Alternative you could visit the Nyamisika cliffs and have picnic breakfast (optional). Expect to see animals like Uganda Kobs, giraffe, elephants and Lions. Have lunch at the lodge,go for a launch trip on the placid Nile towards the bottom of the falls, where you will see animals like the hippos’ buffaloes, crocodiles and water birds like African Kingfishers ducks, fish eagles, skimmers and rare shoebills. Dinner and overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge. Day 5:Have early breakfast,go to the top of the falls for an awe-inspiring sight of the falls as it forces its self through the narrow gorge.This is the point where the Nile River explodes through a narrow gorge and cascades down to become a placid falls. Have a lunch picnic at the top before you set off for Kampala . End this safari |
